Use the Find a Firm feature on the Council of Public Relations Firms Web site to help develop an initial list of firms to consider. Visit agency Web sites and conduct independent research to further narrow the list of firms. Identify the Business Development coordinator or other appropriate contact to serve as your liaison for each agency. When you are ready to develop your list, click on the Identify Agencies tab above.
Keep your long list to between six and eight agencies. The more agencies invited to participate in a search, the more challenging it will be for you to compare and contrast firms in a meaningful way. Agencies are also likely to consider competition among many agencies to be less fair and reasonable than a focused competition.
